Dave McKinney - Drums/Percussion: In the past, Dave spent 18 years as the drummer for the Cecil Young Orchestra and with various other big bands around the tri-state area. He also was involved with the Northern Kentucky University Faculty Jazz Ensemble working with students to help them develop a better understanding of jazz performance. For the past 10 years to present Dave has worked with the North College Hill High School Music Department consulting and teaching students drummers. In addition to playing with JazzItUp, Dave also plays with the Crosstown Jazz Sextet. Dave is extremely capable of playing many styles of music however jazz is his main love.
